10..9..8..Catch Up Before 2021 Ends!
December 2021
Dear Neighbors,
I wish you all happy holidays, and hope you are enjoying this time with loved ones safely. As the days wind down and the year comes to a close, I’d like to share a few updates and reminders with you:
I recently had the pleasure to visit the Weinberg Early Childhood Center in East Baltimore. It has always been my top priority to support our youth and their progress, and early education is key to their development. Here is a photo of me with one of the little ones I had the pleasure to meet.
Remember, if you have seniors in high school, the Page Program is open as a resource to them and is highly encouraged. This program will allow students to represent their academic communities, while being taught engaging info about the democratic process, and general assembly. Click here for more information.

As public safety is of great concern in our community, I and my colleagues, Senator Sydnor and Senator Carter, took it upon ourselves to host the Roundtable on Public Safety. The conversation was moderated by Kai Jackson from FOX 45 News, and Dr. Branville Bard (Vice President for Johns Hopkins Public Safety), Ms. Janice Bledsoe (Interim Chief Deputy State’s Attorney for Baltimore City) and Ms. Shantay Jackson (Director, Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement) joined us for a meaningful discussion. Here is a link to a recording of our December 16th meeting.

I urge you to continue taking the necessary precautions and measures to ensure the safety of you and those that you love during these confound times. Above all else, I wish you joy; may you bring in the new year healthy, happy, and strong.
One Last Thing…
As we move closer to 2022, can you consider making a contribution of $5, $10, 0r $25 to our campaign? It’s crucial that we have the resources to keep our work and momentum going.
Listening. Learning. Leading.
Sincerely,
Cory V. McCray
Senator, 45th Legislative District
